Hello,
I'm new to this software, and I'm able to create simple property lines for my design, but cannot manage to enter the co-ordinate entry option.
The instructions indicated that I need to double click the "Property line" icon, but doing this does not work.
Can anyone point me to my mistake?
Thanks, D.

Hi there, This is the issue => in order to add coordinates, you need to use the "Site Planner with Property Line Coordinates)" tool. However, this tool is not included in the Essential program, as you can see in this comparison chart. With your program, you can draw the Property Line manually. Note that the User Guide features all the tools for all the programs. Hope this helps. |

Hello Patricia, Many thanks for the prompt response. Not your fault, but this is a rather shaky start for Punch's software. The "Helpful" hints do not appear to apply the version of software that is being run! As can be seen the screenshot clearly tells me what I should do, but not that the advice is nothing to do with my version of software! Punch - PL Hints.jpg (71kb) downloaded 1 time(s).Any thoughts on options to import the co-ordinates? Many thanks, D. Punch! Hi there, You're welcome! The image you sent shows an error in the "Tool Tip" description, so as I am just a volunteer at the Forum, I can't fix this issue. I'd suggest that you contact the manufacturer. Now regarding the Property lines, there are several approaches that depend of the original file format and your goals => you can create the PL manually or import them or trace them (depending of the type of file). In the User Guide, please check "To add a property line manually" (page 375). If you are interested, my eBook for Punch V21 (Windows) includes several tutorials about importing, topography, etc. Hope this helps. |
