I am trying to import my own plants. I have prepared them in Photoshop and remove the background. Within Photoshop, moving them to other pictures, it is working properly. When importing them to Punch, The background area is showing up. I tried making the background black and it still shows up. I have tried tif, jpg, png and bmp with no luck. I have also tried others that I downloaded. I know I must be doing something wrong. Any help out there? Thanks
Jerome

Hi there,
when you post questions at the Forum, please inform the exact name and version number of your program (V15 or V18 or V21, etc) Different programs and versions include different features, so we need the information in order to provide the correct solutions. On the PC you will find this info in the main menu => Help => About… On the Mac this info is on the title menu => About… |

Hi there, I will be glad to help, but I'll need more information regarding the issue. Originally Posted by: JRDII Within Photoshop, moving them to other pictures, it is working properly. Also, in addition of the information above, if possible, can you share the masked plant that you are trying to import? How to post images |

(How did you remove the background? Did you mask it?) I manually did it with the background eraser. (When importing them to Punch, The background area is showing up.) The background is showing up a light gray. The image portion looks fine. (What process did you use to import?) I did the following: File Import Plant to library Then just followed the steps (Did you use black 0,0,0?) I used the black they have on the tool bar at the left. black/white tiles Croton 1.png (429kb) downloaded 1 time(s).I attached a png with the background removed

Hi there, I opened your image with Photoshop and yes, in this program I see the plant with a transparent background. However, in Punch, only the color black RGB 0,0,0 renders transparent. So, in order to import and render the plant to the program, you need to add a black background to the image. If you are interested, my eBook for Punch V21 (Windows) includes an entire chapter called "Setting, Optimizing, and Importing Pictures" with detailed tutorials and tips about importing plants and textures, backgrounds, etc. Hope this helps. |

Ok, now I seen how I see what I did wrong. I thought I had it in true black and I was wrong. After manually changing it in the settings It now works. Thankyou very much. I will defiantly look into you book.
