Punch! Home Design & Landscape Professional V22 working on PC with Windows 10

Hello,

I am a new user and would like to create a landscape design for both front and rear yard. There is a steep hill on the rear yard at +30 feet elevation. I have created the house plan at 0" elevation and added the topography lines up to the +30 feet elevation in the 2D design. However, the program stopped working every time I tried to view in 3D. The error message "Punch! Home Design has stopped working" would come up. I could view in 3D fine before adding the topography lines. I would like to add the topography lines to show the existing retaining walls along the hillside slope. I am not sure what is happening. Please help!!!

Hi there,

For some reason, your file is damaged.
I'd suggest that you submit a ticket to tech support so they can point the issue.

Thank you for the quick reply, Patrica.
Were you able to view the 2D file?

I just submitted a ticket to tech support. Hopefully, it will be some sort design setting issue.

Sorry? Don't worry, your question makes sense. Cool

Great. I am thinking about a topography development issue. Notice that deactivating the topography lines, the rendering works without problems. Lets see the tech support's answer.

I am reporting this to our DB.

Hi there,

I did a new review of the file and I think that I found the problem.
Check the file attached and let me know. Now, it is possible to visualize the file in 3D.

Thanks Patricia.
Wow...I can see the 3D view now. I noticed that the file looks cleaner so I am thinking that my design was not properly set up. Please advise on the problem. I did submit to Tech Support and am waiting for their response.

Glad to know that you were able to visualize the file in 3D! Cool

There were issues with the retaining walls => there were two sets and in one of the sets, some walls were creating rooms.
In the image below, you can see the wall selection looking like a room, with perimeter, area, etc. I deleted these "rooms".

I recalled seeing a number of these "rooms" but thought it was part of the foundation setup like creating the walls so did not paid attention. Not sure why only those curve sections have the room setup. This design was imported from a DWG file, and I converted the lines to the walls. I guessed the curves did not convert over well. Thanks again, Patricia.

You're welcome! Cool

Before you convert DWG lines to walls, you must confirm that they are open polygons. If they are closed polygons, select the lines => Convert to => Open Polygon (see image)

Open Polygon.JPG (56kb) downloaded 2 time(s).

If you Convert to => Walls using an enclosed polygon, you are creating a "room" Smile

Hope this helps.
