I am unable to find any way of adding outbuildings such as a greenhouse or shed to a landscape plan. Am I missing something?

Not sure what do you mean? why you can't add outbuildings? 2D and / or 3D?
Try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc.
