I purchased Punch! Essentials version so I could import an image of our house to design landscaping around but I'm having trouble starting the project.

The online help says to import the house image (.jpg file) by clicking "Design">"Launch PowerTool".... however, my "Launch PowerTool" is grayed out.

Either I'm missing a step or I have purchased the wrong version...?

Can anyone give me a few pointers or a users guide to starting a landscaping project with a photo?

Thanks in advance!

Punch image.jpg (156kb) downloaded 1 time(s).

Here's an image of the Design pulldown showing the grayed out Launch PowerTool option

Hi there,

The screenshot seems to show a screen in QuickStart mode.
The QuickStart mode is just this, a fast starting layout, that you can use or just bypass it.

Therefore, after you press the "Continue" button you will be able to save, find the Power Tools, print, as well as using all the Punch features.

Punch, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read, search and follow the User Guide (this is important) => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to manage the different components.
If you are interested, my eBook for Punch V22 for Windows includes tutorials about Landscaping your pictures.

Hope this helps.
