I am drawing plans for a permit application. I've set the page size to 11x17. When I attempt to print to scale to pdf, I get a message about Invalid Paper Size that suggests I change to Print-to-Fit, which is obviously not appropriate for what I need. If I change to Print-to-Fit, it indeed prints to pdf. If I change the page setting to a larger size, I get the same error.
Is it correct to assume that even though I want to print to pdf so I can print these files at FedEx, that the software is still looking at the attached printer for specs, and erroring as a result? Is there a work-around?

Thanks, Mark

Hi there, The basic option is => visualize the floor plan => Print => PDF => Select the scale, paper, etc. You must calculate the necessary paper size for your project. If you are interested, my collection ( Printing Solutions Collection), includes a set of templates for floor plans and elevations with different paper sizes. In this way, you will place the frame in your drawing and the PDF printing will be scaled and clearly visible on the screen or paper. The collection also includes tutorials. Hope this helps. |
