Punch Home & Landscape Design Essentials V24
I am able to draw a patio and see in both 2D and 3D views. When I add a pathway or ground fill, I am not able to see them in 3D. Played with elevation and "Float above topography" without success. Any suggestions?

Hi there,
Pathways and ground fills are tricky features. If you draw a patio, you will notice that you can define the thickness. This means that it is a 3D element and that the elevation is the base of this element. If you draw a pathway or ground fill area, they don't include thickness. This means that they are 2D surfaces and that the elevations are determined by the defining points. If you draw a patio and a pathway on a flat topography, the elevations look identical, but if you add the topography, as the pathway "floats" or hides because it uses just the elevation of the points.
Try this: Assuming that you already developed the topography => Create your driveways / pathways with several points (handles) or add points => select the elements => Float Object Above Topography => in this way, each point will float above the berms and other Topo objects, with different elevations if necessary. For the Ground fill, add points in the perimeter.
Hope this helps. |
