I was going to add this comment to the thread started regarding the electrical symbols as its related, but I see that thread is locked, as are most of the mac threads. Is there a policy I’m missing here? Why is everything locked?

Anyway, I’ll say “me too” regarding frustration with the line weights in V22 with Tahoe. I’m a long time Punch user and never experienced this issue previously. The default weights were almost always fine. But they just don’t work right in V22/Tahoe. It’s not just electrical symbols in my experience, its almost everything, cabinets, furniture, shapes/lines on the Detail tab, etc. Any of the included items you drop on a plan seem to require weight adjustment now.

If there is a trick I’ve overlooked, I’m happy to be educated.

Thanks!
Dan

We keep the posts available for comment for a few days and then we lock them. We decided to lock the posts to help our users: sometimes, users added questions or answers not related with the original posts, or regarding different programs or versions or OS, etc. The answers became mixed in the search panel and created confusing solutions for our users. So, we lock the posts and if necessary, users can link the posts. For example, you commented about this post

Not sure what do you mean? They are different how? Can you show a screenshot of the issue?

Patricia, Thanks for the quick reply. I’m away from my system most of today but will post some screenshots tonight or tomorrow.

Hi Patricia, Here are a couple shots that illustrate the issue. The image with the line selected shows that the weight of the setback line is set to 12. Pretty high in my opinion. However, when I view the plan with no selection at all, that set back line is barely visible. This is a simple example, but typical. However it is not consistent for all objects. For example, the vertical dimension lines from the property boundary to the to structure are weight 7, and the driveway edge lines are weight 4. Each of these show up more clearly than the 12 weight line.

I’m not adept at adding screenshots here, so hopefully you can get the gist. If there are other shots you’d like to see, please let me know.

Appreciate any thoughts you have here.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

So, you didn't experience this problem with your previous OS or with version 21?

No, I first noticed it in the V22/Tahoe combo. I can’t recall exactly when it showed up because I did run V21 with Tahoe for a short period of time, but didn’t use it much because of all the Tahoe related glitches. Definitely don’t recall seeing this with V21/Sequoia

Hi Dan,

I was not able to reproduce this issue, so I think that probably it is a hardware issue.

I'd suggest that you contact tech support so they can check your hardware, OS settings, etc. and reproduce the situation.

Otherwise, if you wish, you can select the lines => use the Draw Style bar => customize the elements.

Hope this helps.
