Hi Telly Manolatos,

There are two ways to achieve the "sand effect"
- Topography: Go to Power tools--> Topo designer--> you will find several shapes, so you can create soft (or no) slopes on the terrain. You can set the elevation (+ or -) of each topo contour
- Texture: you can get a more "dramatic" sand effect using a sand texture. Unfortunately, MLP 10.5 doesn't allow you to import new textures. However, you can "paint" one of the current textures with a sand color (using Power Tools--> material modifier) or you can replace the change the color of the current textures using the material modifier
