I have V20, I use Windows 10. I can print in 2D mode but when I try to print in 3D view, I get a print error message, "printer could not print". Not sure what I may be doing wrong.
Thanks, Scott

Hi there,

I will be glad to help, however, I will need more information.

What type of 3D view are you trying to print (rendering? framing? elevation?) What type of printer are you using? What commands are you using for printing?

Try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc.
If possible, add screenshots of the issue => how to add images

I created a kit remodel plan, cabinets, countertops, range, sink, island. I then hit the Full 3D view button upper right of screen. I used the fly around & walk around to get the angle to show the kitchens best view. I then went to file, hit print 3D view, print box appears, I hit print. Then the print error appears.

I should also not that I have an older version AS3000, that I have used for years and I can print 3D with that one. I "upgraded" to this version thinking things might be easier to use.

Hi there,

1 - Are the printer drivers updated?

2 - When you click Print 3D view => do you see the following screen? can you inform the option selected?

Printing 1.JPG (33kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

3 - After you select the option above, do you see the following screen?

Printing 2.jpg (26kb) downloaded 1 time(s).

4 - The message "printer could not print" is a Punch message or an HP Office message?

5 - Did you try to print to PDF?

Sorry for the delay getting back. I have updated the print drivers, that did not change anything. I do not get that screen when I hit Print 3D view. I dont have the option of printing in PDF on my print screen.
I am not sure if it is a Punch message or HP, it comes up in the lower right corner a black box. Printer unable to print.

Thank you for posting the images, however, they are too small!

Can you tell me the entire text of the message in the 3rd image?

Sorry I just followed those instructions sort of anyway and that is the size it came out when I attached them. The 1st is Print 3d options and default is "current rendering image. The 2nd is the print box with my printer highlighted and I hit print button, the 3rd is the error box, Error printing on HP Office Jet 8710 PCL-3 Network
The printer could not print.

Hi there,

No problem, I've all the information now.

The message is indeed from your printer and it seems that is a very common HP 8710 issue.

If you do a Google search, you will find many references => I found this page with lots of resources and solutions.

You can also try this: export the 3D image (as jpg, png, etc) and print the image

Hope this helps
