I have been trying to create a tree in plant editor but it comes out too small. I imported and masked the photo ok, I set the max height of the tree to 35 feet with medium growth and I assumed that plant editor would scale it correctly. I end up with a perfect looking tree, but only 3-4 feet tall. I checked that I had the height set to 35 feet not 35 inches. Any ideas?

Hi todoftempe,

Yes, this situation happened to me once. This is what I found
The plant editor will consider the height of the picture, independent of the elements contained in the picture. Therefore, if your tree has 36", for example, but it is inserted in a picture with size (scaled) of 360", Punch will consider the 360" not the 36"
In other words, independent of the fact that you mask the "no plant" areas, and the fact they will render transparent, they will be considered as part of the plant by the plant editor
The best solution, of course, trim the plant to a rectangle touching the borders of the plant

Hi Pete,

You should use black RGB 0,0,0 for the masking, this is the only color rendered as transparent in Punch
