Platinum 4.5.1; Dell Optiplex 8500 P4 2.8gz 1gb RAM, 128 DDR ATI Radeon 9700 TX. System locks as soon as I try to change the view in 3D. I have to reboot everytime I do this. Same error message. This is a pain in the butt and I must assume that it's a video driver issue, but I'm not likely to install a "third party driver" as suggested in the FAQ's. If you have had any success with alternative native drivers, your advice would be warmly received. Best of luck!

Hi Cris2,

Try this: download and install the latest Catalyst driver from ATI, the manufacturer of your video card
http://www.ati.com/index.html

(it is free). You will solve a lot of problems.

Hope this helps!
