Hello,
Is there any way to import files from the previous Punch versions (V19) into the V21 program? The new version doesn't contain many of the 3D components that are in the old version. Cheers

Hello,
Please, inform the name of your V19 program as well as the name of your V21 program. |

The old program is Home Design Studio 19 and the new version is Home Design 21. The new version has fewer features than the older program and there's no way to transfer files between them. Cheers.

Sorry, we need the full name of the programs because all of them are called Home Design. Check all the names of the Windows programs hereCheck all the names of the Mac programs hereAlso, specify if each program is Mac or Windows. If it is Mac, also inform the OS version. Read this post to understand why this information is important |

The previous version Home Design Studio 19 - MHS-CM3NNUPN34-1900 The new version is Home Design Studio 21 - 21.0.8 (210907.1)
The problem is the earlier version is on an old computer but it has more tools. I'd like to be able to access the previous files and also use the 3D tools such as columns, beams etc on the latest program on my new computer (Both Macs).
Cheers

Hi there, The name of the Punch programs changed. Now, as you can see in this comparison chart, the Studio program doesn't include columns nor framing tools. I'd suggest that you contact tech support to check the upgrade options. Note that the Punch programs' version compatibility works following the ascendant version number. This means that the old files are compatible with the new versions but this doesn't work backwards. Therefore, a file elaborated with Version 19 (for example) can be opened using version 21, but if you save the file using version 21 it will not open with Version 19. Hope this helps. |
