And I still think that you should export to DWG. However, if you are satisfied with the Punch results, the PDF files are very easy to to create
There are lots of free PDF programs (check at
www.download.com or tucows.com, for example)

Regarding the elevations: In the elevation editor you can render clear view and change the lines color to black and the background to white
